NADICORP Holdings Sdn Bhd is an investment holding company with a stable of 23 operating subsidiaries engaged in various activities. Under the leadership of Dato' Mohd. Nadzmi Mohd. Salleh, Nadicorp has grown to become one of the largest private Bumiputra conglomerates today. Nadicorp has 5 main business units : Transportation, Manufacturing, Property & Plantation, Defence and Other support services.
The transportation group of companies is the largest operator of public bus transportation in Malaysia. With the most extensive coverage throughout Peninsular Malaysia, the stage bus operations and inter-city express services operate under a common banner, "Transnasional". The nationwide network is serviced by a fleet of more than 1,200 buses that cover 234 routes generating over 5,200 trips daily. This translates to around 55 million passengers annually.
Transnasional is operated by nine subsidiaries that are strategically located to provide comfortable, reliable and most importantly, safe transportation to all its passengers, wherever they may be.
The manufacturing group consists of textiles & apparel and automotive engineering. The group is involved in several areas of the textiles & apparel industry. Its integrated textile mill produces a variety of fabrics and surgical dressing and is the main supplier of 100% cotton fabric to the Malaysian batik industry. The production and retailing of batik and batik products are activities, of which Nadicorp is proud to be the flag bearer for one of Malaysia's culture heritage. The group is also involved in industrial tailoring, specialising in functional clothing for emergency services and military personnel.
In addition to clothing, the textiles division produces military parachutes to be marketed to the OIC (Organisation of Islamic Conference) and ASEAN (Association of South-East Asian Nations) region.
Automotive engineering activities in the manufacturing group include tyre retreading and coach building.
Agro-business & Property
The property group's activities consist of property investment and development. The group has a significant land bank for which plans are underway to develop several commercial projects.
The plantation group owns over 8,300 acres of high yielding palm oil. It has also recently ventured into integrated farming and agro-business in a strategic expansion to diversify its income base.
This unit was recently formed to build on and expand existing defence sector business and to provide the vehicle with which to undertake large contracts within the defence industry. The unit's main focus areas are defence related infrastructure projects, equipment supply and associated logistic support services for all branches of the defence forces.
These companies were developed to provide certain support services to the Nadicorp group of companies and has successfully achieved significant cost-savings in those areas. The services include insurance, security and travel agency.
